AMSTERDAM Bar and Grill
Amsterdam Bar and Grill on Davenport Road has a youthful unpretentious crowd that knows how to let loose of the city stress and have a good time. Spoke to Laurence, owner of Amsterdam about future plans. The idea of Amsterdam Bar and Grill was fruit of Laurence's vacation in Amsterdam needless to say the rest is history. As an ex-owner of Thunderock on 7th avenue Florida road (4 year stint), Seether lead guitarist going solo on a jam night and many more archive memories. Amsterdam is ripening up with plans of opening at Morningside and Umhlanga, being a place you can pull in with shorts and slippers no drama.

South africa in the Making (Durban Art Gallery)
There is an exhibition at the Durban Art Gallery, "A Walk With Dr Monty Naicker" ending in February. The storyline will take you to days when Mahatma Gandhi was walking in the Transvaal, Pictures of ANC founders, Dr Nelson Mandela giving speeches in Maritzburg, Dr Naicker's Edinburugh days, and Dr Dadoo and Dr Xuma pact. South Africa's roots unfold in to the depths of change thanking the Freedom Fighters for sacrificing themselves inorder for us to breathe free breath.

Durban Street Culture was at the Durban Harbour Cafe saw a performance by the MC. It was an initiative held by artist musicians poets slum poets alongside international peformers, Schwppes behind the initiative for raising Toys and Time for Children affected by HIV/AIDS and the orphans. Was absorbed into it all, Bigg Up to all the members involved...

The Endless Summer sunday at Joe cools relaxed crowd mellowing after a hectic weekend. Paris outfit Che Cherry & D Maslo gave out a great performance with a line up of Blaq soul, Ryan Syles Green junior, Funky G Earl Billache, Alan Stockenstroom peeps just lazed back with cocktails and got their feet stepping as the sun went down well into the evening
Davenport Street party (New Years)
Yossis and Amsterdam it was raining but did not get rained out people. Great Crowd came through for a minute and enjoyed every second no doubt Durbs has a big heart for fun. It was a let loose crowd of fun no pretentious peeps.
New Years (Club Origin)
It was a Timeless affair the, Alot of legends met the Titan....
Zoolu Band-Pablo Ziggy (lead guitar) Leigh Relly (Bass) Mazwi Vezi on Keys and Shannon on Drums gave us an electrifying performance. Crazy infact 2011 came through jam packed every dance floor filled with all the Durban Legends beautiful ladies eveywhere graff artist tagging the walls inside while the party went on. The Djs held it down to the weee hours of the 1st. The best new years party by far NYE. Big Up to Dax letting the Durban Street Culture pull in.
