Jet Wentworth grew up in the "Coloured Township" of Wentworth (according to Apartheid areas act, the term coloured is a derogatory term) in between Umlazi (Black Township), Chatsworth (Indian Township) and the Bluff (predominantly White affluent suburb) gave birth to a mixture of Zulu, English, Afrikaans and Indian slang. Jet Wentworth mixing the slang of the area in his music makes him "Du-Bruin-Funk" originator making him Mr Daddy Durbz.
Jet Wentworth is a well rounded artist from battling, punchlines, flow and confidence more so is his distinguished storytelling abilities giving Wentworth (area) a voice of their own, telling stories of reality, not the "Trust Fund (B.E.E.) MC with videos about popping models or bottles".
Inspired by the group POC, Jet Wentworth music is a reflection of his environment sharing with DSC how he despises Fast Food Music that is fashion orientated rather than content. Walking the talk, Jet was chosen by Life Check Durban and sent to the Redbull Music Academy in Cape Town where he recorded his E.P.
