Carpe Diem
Seize The Day
Just a moment in this lifetime,
Just a tragedy ahead.
Not knowing where each turn will lead,
Within seconds we might be dead.
Live each day to the fullest,
Do not stop to wonder why.
Do everything your heart desires,
In dreams, reach for the sky.
Surprises at every stop sign,
With its share of wrong ways and dead-ends.
Statistics don't help you with the future,
They only tell you where you've been.
With so many people among us,
There are no certainties.
And all it takes is just one person,
To reroute history.
Dont waste one single moment,
How very precious that they are.
What seems a long way off,
Is really not that far.
Just a tragedy ahead.
Not knowing where each turn will lead,
Within seconds we might be dead.
Live each day to the fullest,
Do not stop to wonder why.
Do everything your heart desires,
In dreams, reach for the sky.
Surprises at every stop sign,
With its share of wrong ways and dead-ends.
Statistics don't help you with the future,
They only tell you where you've been.
With so many people among us,
There are no certainties.
And all it takes is just one person,
To reroute history.
Dont waste one single moment,
How very precious that they are.
What seems a long way off,
Is really not that far.

THE PRIDE TO BE AN AFRICAN
THE PRIDE TO BE AN AFRICAN
My Africa My Africa My Africa
My Africa of which everybody imitates
My Africa of which culture exceed the Greek
My Africa of which everyone is jealous of
My Africa My Africa My Africa
My Africa of enormous natural endowment
My Africa of Non-Violence
My Africa of Amorous populates
My Africa My Africa My Africa
My Africa of patriot men and women
My Africa of shelter and vintage hospitality
My Africa of great ancestral mythology
My Africa My Africa My Africa
My Africa that bore fruits of black diamonds
My Africa which is a gift to the whole world
My Africa of great leadership
My Africa My Africa My Africa
My Africa of learned youths
My Africa of a bright generation
My Africa true tradition
My Africa My Africa My Africa
My Africa of black pageant women
My Africa of strong men
My Africa from who we all hail from
For every African deserves a Nobel Prize in
Existence.

HAPPY AFRICA DAY
Being from Africa is the best thing that could have
ever, ever happened to me. I cannot see it any other way. All of my
fundamental principles that were instilled in me in my home, from my childhood, are still with me.

Silenced Lies in Truth by Nosipho Ntshangase
SILENCED LIES IN TRUTH
Let them go is what we hear the soft voices in our souls shout.
Just before our lies start turning into mould.
Building onto heaps of moles transcending into high mountains with invisible peaks.
And so the voices speak as we go on around passing due date as lies we are pregnant with.
Projected in our tongues,we put on masks that shift when they must.
So we move on fast, past these chapters and forget all that matters like your soul silently shouting, rattling these cages bottled up into bottles we wish away
into the sea.
So with these secrets we let live.
He holds onto burdens of yesterday, she wishes this part today could be told and we hang onto hope that tomorrow they'll never know and so we never let them go.
Gunning for the ones who confessed to that lie and so we hide in illusions,
delusioned minds, poisoned by these truths we forge though they do not balance.
So on justified scales we sailed as the truth derailed till it was delayed, and to bottled up secrets we waved. The heart out of sync with the soul coz blood is all that it pumped.
And having a soul meant believing in love,
and love had no hurt,
and the heart had never heard a lie.
As we lie on a bed when things are bad.
They say you lie on the bed that you make so this chance you had to take coz life didn't give another take.So you pretended as if it was too late just to tell this tale.
Just a folk-tale to tell your mind when you do mind your conscience.
We consigned our obvious thoughts to oblivion coz we lost what there was to believe in.
On the ideas of imperfection we dangled on coz we were just humans who let live on.
On our beds we lie till sleep takes control. Our thoughts we do control,so our souls we do ignore when their whispers we silently hear, coz lies we knew were always near
and the truth was just too harsh to hear.."
